I sought to infuse the timeless façade of the Alamo with a sense of movement and dynamism. By introducing a sweeping star emanating from behind the chapel entrance, I aimed to symbolize the enduring spirit and resilience that the Alamo represents through a renewed lens. A subtle yet significant element in this piece is the recreated face and cross in the doorway—an homage to the serendipitous discovery in my earlier work, Alamo Five Views. It serves as a bridge between the two artworks, weaving a narrative thread that connects past inspirations with present interpretations.
